This is an evaluative essay on the book "Neither Man nor Woman" by Serena Nanda.
A few questions that may be considered while writing the essay are: what is the book about? what does it say about gender? who is the author and what was the nature of the field work she or he undertook? how is the book organized? and what the book good or bad did you like? what were its strengths and weaknesses in your opinion
what is the fieldwork? language? did the author bring anything or any people? is he alone or with others? where are the women and why aren't they there? critical questions that the book raises?
