title : Discuss and compare the function and purpose of ancient Greek and Roman ethnographical texts within war reports.
Julius Caesar The Gallic War Book 5, Chapters 12-14, vs Herodotus Histories Book 1, sections 131-40. ( these are the compulsory comparative sources )
Aim: asses the employment of ethnography, whether it is used in the same way by JC and Hd, by the Romans and the Greeks and with the same functions and contexts.
