Civil engineering: requirement and access provision to a building from a disabled parking bay

Main objective of the assessment
The aim of this assessment is to look at an onsite disabled car park and the provision for a disabled person to access a major building (such as Lecture Centre) at Brunel University.

Learning Outcome for the assessment
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the foundations of the different aspects of engineering.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of materials used in engineering.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the role of the engineer.

It is highly recommended that your report follows the structure as laid out below.

Introduction – 10%
Basic requirement of a disabled parking bay including drawing/schematic-30%
Provision for access to a building for a disabled person-30%
Any proposed alternative design–20%
Conclusion - 10%
