would like to also include the book we are using in class so you can use it as one of the sources. And I will attach a link about the company that designed the robot mentioned in my abstract.
the book used in class: Automation, Production Systems, and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing, Mikell P. Groover, 4th Edition, Prentice Hall
the robot design company web site link:
http://www.rethinkrobotics.com/baxter/
Purpose:
-For you to explore, in some depth, an enabling technology in Computer Aided Manufacturing and Robotics
-The focus needs to be on the technology and not the application!
-You may focus on an application, but the underlying technology needs to be the focus
-Technologies may be very new or emerging
Components of the paper:
1) Abstract (I have already submitted this part, but he wants attached with paper too, so I am going to upload it here for you to add to the paper)
2) Introduction
3) Literature review:
a- What are the existing technologies for this application or purpose today? b- What are their limitations?
4) What is the new technology being investigated?
a- Why is it significant?
b- How will it disrupt/advance the field under study?
c- Are there limitations to its implementation?
d- Cite one application that will be enhanced by this new technology?
e- Is there a path to commercial implementation?
5) Conclusions
